B Capital, a multi-stage investment firm co-founded by Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, has named Timur Akazhanov as a general partner.
Akazhanov, who is based in New York, will focus on strategic growth equity investments in technology and tech-enabled services companies.

Akazhanov was previously a managing director at H.I.G. Capital. Prior to H.I.G., he was a managing director at Blackstone and held roles at Bain Capital and McKinsey & Company.
Founded in 2015, B Capital has more than $7 billion in assets under management. It has nine locations in the US and Asia.
