- Firm began fundraising in June 2024 with undisclosed target
- Founder was previously founding partner of MrPink VC, a Latin America-focused venture fund
- Team includes Nobel Prize winner Eric Betzig
Former Intel executive Jeep Kline has launched Raisewell Ventures, a new venture firm focused on climate tech, manufacturing innovation and health tech.
Raisewell, based in Berkeley, California, has not disclosed the size of its debut fund. Raisewell Ventures Fund I began fundraising in June 2024, seeking an undisclosed amount, according to a regulatory filing.
Kline, the firm’s managing partner, is listed in the SEC filing as the managing member of the general partner for Fund I. Kline was previously founding partner of MrPink VC, a Latin America-focused venture fund, from 2020 to 2024. Prior to that she was an executive at Intel for about seven years, including serving as senior director of Global Operations & Business Development, and was an economist for the World Bank for about three years, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Kline was unavailable for comment.
Raisewell has already invested in five companies, including sustainability-focused enterprise robotics software company T-robotics; Femtosense, an edge AI chip maker; and Kiwibot, a robotics company.
“Software can’t eat the world without hardware,” Kline said in a statement. “That’s why we’re laser-focused on companies building in a range of AI-driven and software-enabled hardware.”
Besides Kline, the Raisewell team includes Eric Betzig, a UC Berkeley physics professor and 2014 winner of the Nobel Prize in chemistry; Cory Kidd, founder of Catalia Health; Andrew Stadlen, former executive at Flickr and Yahoo; Nick Jivasantikarn, formerly of the World Bank and Boston Consulting Group; Jessica Wan, former Apple executive; and Mo Shomat, former Google AI manager and Morgan Stanley analyst.
“Some of the most monumental technology challenges are in areas such as climate tech, supply chain and health tech,” Betzig said. “We are focused on backing top entrepreneurs in these sectors who want to change the world. These start-ups will drive financial outcomes for our investors, while making critical advances for societies globally.”
Raisewell describes itself as a “global multi-stage venture firm, bridging Silicon Valley and Southeast Asia, with a mission to generate top-tier returns while driving lasting economic and social advancement through venture capital and deep tech.”
